The Wesley Christmas Store, running from December 13-22, is a much-anticipated annual program running in Hamilton for more than 30 years for those living below the low-income cut-off in our community. The premise is simple: instead of using money, people who access our Christmas store pay with points, based on the number of people in their families. Last year, this program was accessed by more than 2,500 people in Hamilton. Wesley’s Christmas Store is special because it allows people to choose their own gifts, and our system accommodates all family compositions, including single adults. Kilbride can help by donating gifts, gift cards (eg. Walmart, President’s Choice, Tim Hortons) and non perishable food items. Kilbride and Carlisle will be going to help at the Christmas Store once again on Monday December 18 from 9:30am with shifts for only the morning and those who wish can stay till 4:30pm. Please join this very special time to help others have a Christmas. Call Sharon at 905.689.8638.
