It seems like yesterday and also a lifetime away that we posted the cancellation of our scheduled March 15th Service and potluck annual meeting due to the public health risk associated with COVID-19.

I hope you are supported by the emails, calls and cards knowing that “THE BUILDING IS CLOSED BUT OUR CHURCH IS OPEN”. I trust you have found inspiration from Pastor Sue’s weekly messages and service information. As I have previously communicated, I am overjoyed to let you know that Pastor Sue Cowan has made a gracious offer to extend her contract to September 2020 in order to support us through this pandemic.

Over the past two Sundays I have rung the church bells. I plan to do this each Sunday at 10:00 am so that the community has a reminder of the centering comfort of the Village Church. Hopefully future Sundays will be warmer and more people will be outdoors.

If there is a need in our community for help with groceries, essential household goods, a friendly check in or just a call to comfort, please email The church and wider community will make sure the need is answered.

On behalf of Kilbride United Church,
Maureen Trenkler
