We are not yet ready to open our sanctuary for in person worship services however the work and fellowship of our community of faith continues as we await the ability to safely worship together in person.

In October of 2020, we said goodbye to our supply minister Pastor Sue Cowan and named Rev. Allison Playfair as our new minister. We received a grant from the United Church of Canada in November 2020 to purchase a better sound system and sanctuary recording equipment that has allowed us to tape and post our services online at Kilbride United Facebook Page and Website www.kilbrideunited.com. While we would prefer to gather in person for worship, one of the benefits of virtual worship is the ability to reach people from the community who would not otherwise attend services.

If you have driven past the church on a Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. you have probably noticed a small physically distanced group of us gathering in the parking lot to listen to the church bell ring, and enjoy fellowship and a prayer. All are welcome to join us. We were also able to host (following Health Department Covid-19 protocols) a wedding on February 14, 2021 Valentines Day.

The Logistics Committee and Church Board will continue to follow Health Department recommendations and protocols. Our hope is that we can have outdoor services when weather permits.

If you are in need of support from Kilbride United Church or have any questions for us you can contact the Carlisle/Kilbride United office at 905-689-8630 or by email at secretary@carlisleuc.ca.
