On Tuesday December 21, 2021 the Logistics Team (tasked with setting COVID-19 protocols for Carlisle/Kilbride United Churches) met. We discussed the growing reports of the Omicron variant cases and the recent changes to Public Health Guidelines that came into effect December 19, 2021. The team unanimously made the recommendation, to the joint Carlisle/Kilbride Church Board, to move away from in person Worship services until further notice. The board approved the decision. We will begin to worship together via Zoom. The Zoom worship services will be taped and posted on the churches websites.
This was not an easy decision. The decision was reached recognizing that the rapidly-spreading and highly transmissible Omicron variant has shown to be a significant risk even for those who have had two doses of the vaccine.
So, here we are again asking you to adjust to this new variant just when we thought we had done everything we have been asked to do to be able to enjoy this Christmas Eve in person. As this Advent Season of waiting and expectation draws to a close, please support this decision made in order to keep one another safe.
The Kilbride United 6:30 p.m. service has been eliminated because it was to be the same service as the Carlisle United 4:30 p.m. service and Kilbride United does not have an Internet connection to enable a zoom connection. Please join the below services live or taped once posted on the website.
